The seeds for the Red
Door Theatre Company were planted years ago when a group of performers gathered & put on their first avant garde fashion
show in Pasadena, Texas.
The budding vision for RDTC can be found amongst the memories of roller skating Kabuki warriors,
ruby slippers on a dangerous journey, or in the embrace of two pajama factory workers.
After seven fashion shows
and five musicals we decided to make things a little more permanent by establishing our resident theatre company and our Actor
Training Program.
It is our goal to create, inspire, foster, & motivate fresh, new, creative theatre that electrifies
and entertains.

Romeo & Juliet In Space is a campy new comedy based on William Shakespeare's classic play Romeo and Juliet. Dueling couplets, ray guns, computer panels, scanners, and puppets with attitude round out this cheesy 1960's sci-fi inspired laugh fest. Romeo & Juliet In Space is an adventure that is bound to transport you out of this world!  |

What is RDTC? * A 501 (c)(3) non-profit theatre
company.

The only theatre in the area producing new & original work! * We offer a free educational program for the training
of actors.

Founded in 2008 by josh jordan, April McEachern, & Tiffany Velez. * A family of like-minded artists
committed to the collaborative process.
What kinds of shows are at RDTC? * We produce new & original theatrical work from local & visiting playwrights. * There are six (6) adult & kid shows each season. Is your theatre really in an automotive shop? Yes! Our comfortable sixty (60) seat
theatre is currently housed in a converted automotive shop. Everything in the theatre was custom built
for the space; the audience platforms, the
theatre's back wall, theatre's main entrance, as well as dressing rooms & the box office. And there
are still plans for further renovation! What is the Actor Training Program
(ATP)?
* A free, semester-based
acting class for young adults ages 9 & up.
* A disciplined
exploration of the methods & approaches of acting. * The ATP students perform in two (2) ensemble-based productions per
year. What else does RDTC have to
offer?
* Partnered
with the Senior Musical at CLHS since 2004.
* High School
& College Internships in arts management & design. * We encourage & foster the talents of budding set & lighting
designers. Down the rabbit hole!
